1. Equipment Function Description
This machine is mainly used for the accurate winding of prismatic lithium-ion battery cells. Here's how it operates: the operator manually loads the cathode and anode sheets into the winding mechanism, places separators between them, and winds them according to the specified process standards. After that, the machine automatically applies the termination tape and discharges the wound cells.
2. Equipment Functions and Features
As shown in diagram:
1. Adopts a dual winding needle structure.
2. Manual electrode feeding – automatic winding – automatic needle changing – automatic tape application – automatic cell discharge.
3. Tape is applied longitudinally (termination tape parallel to the tabs); the tape is applied evenly, with precise position control and without stretching the cell; the process is stable and reliable.
4. The winding needle speed is adjustable.
5. Dual separator rolls with active unwinding; tension controlled by encoder speed feedback and high-precision pneumatic valves, allowing smooth tension adjustment during winding.
6. Equipped with an electrode dust removal device.
7. The cell can be finished with either electrode wrapping or separator wrapping.
8. The finished cell has no damage, core pulling, or misalignment issues.
9. Easy to operate; simple and fast size adjustments and specification changes.
3. Process Flow
This machine complies with the standard prismatic lithium-ion battery winding process, in which the separator completely wraps the anode, and the anode wraps the cathode. Process steps:
1. Separator pre-winding: uses heat-cutting separator technology to save pre-winding length.
2. Insert anode: manually guide the anode sheet into the winding section.
3. Insert cathode: manually guide the cathode sheet into the winding section.
4. Winding.
5. Turntable rotates to transfer to next station.
6. Separator cutting, termination tape application, and cell discharge.
4. Equipment Structure
1. This equipment consists of the winding unit, indexing unit, separator unwinding unit, electrode guiding unit, tape application unit, discharge unit, and control system.
2. Winding Unit (2 sets): consists of offset winding needles to ensure winding precision and facilitate needle replacement.
3. Indexing Unit (1 set): for converting between winding and tape application stations.
4. Separator Unwinding Unit (2 sets): separator rolls use active unwinding with pneumatic tension control.
5. Electrode Guiding Unit (2 sets): single-side adjustable for easy alignment.
6. Tape Application & Discharge Unit (1 set).
