I. Equipment Overview
1. Function (Principle) Introduction
This equipment is primarily for forming polymer battery cells under high-temperature and pressure conditions, aiding in denser SEI film formation, fuller capacity activation, and better capacity consistency. It supports high-current charging, shortening formation time and reducing the battery production cycle.
The complete system includes a 256-channel formation power supply and two left-right distributed fixtures. Each fixture has 84 channels, totaling 256 channels.
2. Equipment Functions
The system comprises: temperature control system, over/under-temperature alarm system, over/under-voltage alarm system, pressure control system, formation cabinet system, and fixture mechanism.
Features: layer-independent temperature control, pressure control, charge/discharge capabilities, overcharge/overdischarge protection, secure tab-to-contact connection, data communication, post-process data storage, post-charging voltage sorting, post-discharging capacity sorting, and smoke alarm.

2. Operation Process:
Power on → Manually open cabinet door → Insert batteries into Fixture A → Set Fixture A parameters → Lower Fixture A and start process → Insert batteries into Fixture B → Set Fixture B parameters → Lower Fixture B and start process → Insert batteries into Fixture C → Lower Fixture C and start process → After Fixture A completes, manually remove batteries.
8. Equipment Features
1. Compatible with cell thickness range of 2.5–12mm, no need to adjust fixture or replace tab blocks.
2. Fixture aluminum plates contain built-in heating elements, offering flame-retardant, corrosion-resistant, fast heat conduction, and high strength.
3. Uses gold-plated spring contacts, oxidation-resistant, easy to clean.

III. Main Software Functions
1. Working modes: constant current charging, constant current/voltage charging, constant current discharging, rest, and cycling; cut-off conditions: voltage, time, final current, and final capacity.
2. Formation steps can resume from power failure, manual pause, software shutdown, communication failure, and abnormal stop.
3. All step curves and test data per battery are saved; current and historical data can be viewed per channel in data or curve format; supports Excel export for single/batch and auto export after completion.
4. Multiple inspection interfaces: graphical, summary data, categorized data, abnormal indicators.
5. Step protections for voltage, current, temperature, and pressure with alarm alerts.
6. Minimum PC configuration: PII/300 CPU, ≥1GB RAM, ≥80GB HDD, EGA/VGA display, mouse & keyboard, Windows 2000 or above, one USB serial port.
7. Operation software provided; user supplies the PC. One PC is used for every six units.
8. Protection Functions:
(1) Over-voltage, under-voltage, over-current, under-current, over-capacity protection
(2) Configurable voltage/current thresholds with alerts and records
(3) Over-temp/pressure warning lights
(4) Emergency stop: fixture remains closed, system power cut
(5) Smoke alarm: buzzer sounds on detection
9. Three-color status indicator lights:
Yellow: Standby (fixture not clamped)
Green: In process (clamped and charging)
Red: Fault (over/low temp/voltage, smoke, communication error)
